My Philosophic idea of Autism.

What is Autism?, by modern society standards, it is seen as a Disorder, Disability, or to a more extreme extent, an Illness. There are many implied causes and symptoms of Autism, from Medicine to Genetics, with little to no Evidence to back it up. But what does all this say?, how does it pertain to us, the ones with Autism?, the ones who strive to be seen as equal.

I may not be a Scientist, I don't have a degree in Psychology. But Having Autism, I associate as being my identity. And I am writing about my Idea of how Autism should be treated, about my own perspective and experiences of Autism itself.

1. What is Autism to me?, is it a Disability, or a Disorder to you?

I do not consider it a disorder or a disability, rather as a different type of Brain altogether. It is very unique, it functions in its own, unique way. The view of Autism being a Disability to me is a  huge Illusion. The fact that Modern Soceity follows sterotypes, rather than seeing it from our point of view. So we are treated differently.
However, what should be more important is how we think for ourselves, not how Modern Society thinks of how we work, because the only people who can truly understand Autism are Us, the ones that have it.

2. How would you treat Autism?

"Why fix what is not broken?" Is a rhetorical question I have always heard. Ever Since Autism became more and more "Studied", the more Scientist's looked for "Treatments" and "Cures.". And when these "Cure's." are supposedly discovered, and some Parents have even risked putting their own children in danger, for these so called "Cures." that do not help.

The only true Treatment for People with Autism, is to Master our own minds. By understanding our own personal selves, Understanding our personal issues and how we feel about things, our Hopes, by understanding ourselves it is to master our own lives.

What do you strive for?, What stresses you?, What are your beliefs about the world?, How do you feel about others?, and How do you feel about yourself?.

One of the first things we need to do is to love ourselves. Life tends to knock us down, the Emotional pain of Bullying, Group Rejection, and the feeling of no Self-worth due to the fact that others tend to talk down upon us.
Remember this, Modern Society follows us by the most part, Stereotypes, not for who we are, or how we feel.
Another thing to work with is Acceptance, Autism is part of who we are. Denying having Autism is to ignore the challenges we need to overcome to grow. Mentally, Emotionally, and Spiritually. We could ignore our Autism, but will any really change?, will people treat us more equally?, and does it change our Emotional feeling towards our pains?
Another step for us, Awareness. What goes on around us?, are we aware of what we talk about?. By being aware of our Actions, we can learn from our Actions, and become better people. People in General, need to be aware of what they say, not just us.
